Furniture restoration is more than reupholstery. It's the structural work that comes first — re-gluing joints, replacing broken slats, sourcing matching timber for missing parts, refinishing wood that's gone dull or scratched — followed by the upholstery layer to finish the piece.
Most of what we restore are pieces with sentimental value: a chair from grandparents, a sofa from a first home, a settee that's been in the family three generations. The goal is to keep what's irreplaceable about the piece and rebuild what's no longer working.

Is my old piece worth restoring?
Usually yes if the frame is good hardwood and you've an emotional or aesthetic attachment to the piece. Solid-frame furniture rebuilt properly outlives most new furniture. We'll give an honest opinion from photos — including telling you when it's not worth it.
Can you match the original wood finish?
In most cases yes. We work with French polish, wax, lacquer and modern oils. For antique pieces we use period-appropriate techniques to keep the character intact. Where wood is missing, we source matching timber and grain.
Do you restore pieces that aren't upholstered?
Yes — wood-only restoration (sideboards, dressers, tables) is something we do regularly. The same workshop, same hands, same approach.
