Leather Repair & Reupholstery
in Ballymena
Leather sofas, chairs and commercial seating — repaired, recoloured or fully re-covered in premium hides.
Leather furniture ages in a particular way. The grain softens, the colour deepens, and on a good hide that's a feature, not a flaw. But sun damage, dryness, cracking and surface wear all need addressing before they become unrecoverable. We handle leather work at every level — localised repair on a single panel, full recolouring across a whole piece, or complete re-cover in new hide.
Commercial leather (booths, banquettes, office seating) gets a particular hammering. Same treatment as domestic, just on a different scale and with hides chosen for higher rub-resistance.

Repair vs. recover decision
Sometimes a panel repair is the right call; sometimes the whole piece needs new hide. We'll be straight about which is which.
- 03
Workshop work
Localised repairs are usually a few days. Full re-covers take two to four weeks depending on the size of the piece.
- 04
Conditioning and care
We finish with a protective conditioning treatment and give you guidance on keeping the result.
We work with aniline, semi-aniline and pigmented leathers depending on what suits the piece and how it's used.

questions
Common questions about this service. Can't see yours? Send us a WhatsApp message and we'll answer directly.
Can a cracked leather sofa be saved?
If the cracking is in the surface coating and the underlying leather is still supple, yes — surface repair and recolouring usually works well. If the leather itself has dried and split through, we'll likely recommend re-covering the affected panels in new hide.
Can you match the original leather colour?
Yes, in most cases. We mix pigments to match — and for surface recolouring across a whole piece, slight variation in original leather actually helps the result look natural rather than painted.
How long does leather recolouring last?
Properly done and conditioned, ten years or more on domestic furniture. Commercial seating is more demanding, but quality work still lasts five-plus years before any touch-up.
